World Famous Welsh Guards Entertained Hundreds of People at Kimbolton Castle on 20 August

Welsh Guards Enterain Hundreds at Kimbolton CastleIt's not often you get the chance to see a world famous band in all their marching pageantry so hundreds of people had a great experience on Saturday 20 August when The Band of the Welsh Guards, renowned for their ceremony of Changing the Guard at Buckingham Palace, performed Beating Retreat in front of the historical backdrop of Kimbolton Castle.
The Band, based at Wellington Barracks, London, was formed in 1915 and added some good old-fashioned pomp and ceremony to an evening where the 'supporting cast' included the excellent Harborough Band, directed by ex-Scots Guards and renowned music teacher, Chris Groom. The Band performed a variety of music culminating in a Fireworks Finale.
The evening was organised by Kimbolton School Society (KSS) and raised funds for Help for Heroes, The Royal British Legion and KSS.
