Towcester has a great place for Cards, Gifts and Tradional Sweets its 'Humbugs'.
Nestled between 'Vanessa's Health & Beauty' and that gem  of a shop that is Help the Aged.
 
The shop is 'Humbugs'.
 
Having just been taken over and relaunched, theres a huge choice of old style 'sweets from a jar' sold by the quarter if you like; old fashioned sweets like catherine wheels and coltsfoot rock, to name but a few.
 
You'll also find traditional gifts gadgets and curiosities, like real metal slinkys, wooden dominoes, collectors tins of biscuits and retro items.
 
Add to this over 30 types of genuine hand finished belgian chocolates, and there is still room for superb hand made local confectionary, pick & mix sweets, and a huge selection of sugar free products.
 
This makes for an interesting shop, with genuine classics and a tradional feel.
 
The full greetings/occassions card range, partyware and foil helium balloons are soon to be updated and refreshed, though there will still be room for the Retro Style Raliegh Chopper shoulder bag, and Raleigh Chopper t-shirts and more.
 
This shop helps keep Towcester Town the interesting individual place to shop that is a welcome change.

I have visited this store recently and I can honestly say its a gem. A whole selection of sweets, fantastic chocolates and a great new range of gifts perfect for birthdays and stocking fillers. I even treated myself to an old fashioned slinky which I used to play with fas a child. Frank is the host with the most and takes a personal interest in your shopping requirements and I asked for some rose or violet chocolates which he has promised to get in before Christmas and ring me to let me know when they are in. Can't wait to see more.

The range of sweets we carry in store covers many sectors, including sugar-free, no added sugar (e.g. individual belgian chocs, yum!), dairy-free, coeliac-friendly, and vegetarian.

Vegan chocolates will be back in soon.
