About the Northampton Voluntary Youth Action group...
The Millennium Volunteers scheme was set up in 1999 by the government to give people aged between 16 - 24 the support they needed to go out in to the world and build on what ever they are into.
Since then Northamptonshire Millennium Volunteers has become Northamptonshire Voluntary Youth Action and they continue to work in the same way with young people aged 13 - 24. Over the last eight years they've worked with an incredible 3000 Volunteers!!!
What can you do?
The sky is the limit, if you're into it then NVYA will try their best to help you either find a placement or to set up your own project.
What will you gain?
On completion of your volunteering you will receive a nationally recognised certificate. These can be added to CV's and look great on University applications.
How to get involved?
Once you have decided you want to get involved please contact NVYA and your Area Development Officer will talk you through the next steps.
