The Council is encouraging people to think of ways they can reduce their energy usage, for example:
• Turning your heating down by 1% you could save 10% on your fuel bills every year
• Energy efficient light bulbs use up to 80% less electricity than conventional light bulbs, but they last six times longer than normal bulbs and could save you £7.50 a year on electricity bills per bulb
To help, Kettering Borough Council is providing a limited number of electricity Power Downs and low energy light bulbs free of charge on a first come first serve basis
All you have to do to claim your free Power Down and low energy light bulb is visit the Council's Energy Efficiency Week information stand that will be in Kettering Town Centre on Thursday 23rd October between 10am - 3pm
