Gary Wilmot and Emma Barton turn on the Razzle Dazzle
The smash-hit musical Chicago comes to Northampton's Royal & Derngate from Monday 6 to Saturday 11 July, with Gary Wilmot starring as Billy Flynn alongside Emma Barton as Roxie Hart. 
Gary Wilmot, star of West End musicals including Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Me And My Girl, and Copacabana, was most recently seen in Northampton as Arthur Kipps in Half A Sixpence, and is well-known from his spectacular Showstoppers series on BBC TV.
Emma Barton is best known for her role as Honey Mitchell in BBC1's EastEnders. Her other television roles include Spooks on BBC1 and Secret History on Channel 4. Previous stage roles include Marty in Grease (Victoria Palace Theatre).
This multi-award-winning musical is a universal tale of fame, fortune and all that jazz. Written by musical theatre talents John Kander and Fred Ebb (creators of Cabaret) with choreography inspired by Bob Fosse, Chicago features one show-stopping-song after another, along with some of the most astonishing dancing you've ever seen.
Based on real life events back in the roaring 20s, the show tells the tale of night club singer Roxie Hart, who shoots her lover, and, along with cell block rival double-murderess Velma Kelly, fights to keep from death row with the help of smooth talking lawyer Billy Flynn. With a sizzling score including All That Jazz, Cell Block Tango and Razzle Dazzle, it would be a crime to miss it!
The most sensational of shows, Chicago takes to the Derngate stage from Monday 6 to Saturday 11 July, with performances at 7.30pm Monday to Thursday, 5.30pm and 8.45pm on Friday and 5pm and 8pm on Saturday.
