A dream come true...
26 year-old Craig Chalmers was one of the most popular finalists in the recent hit BBC series Any Dream Will Do. Watched by
millions every Saturday night, the show was produced to find a leading man for Andrew Lloyd Webber's new West End production, and Craig, chosen from tens of thousands of wannabees, charmed audiences with his vocal talents, finishing in the top five.
Craig has recently been joined in the cast by another familiar face from Saturday night TV. 24 year-old Welsh soap actress Tara Bethan, who reached the TV finals of the latest hunt for a West End star, I'd Do Anything, is now taking the part of the much coveted role of the Narrator in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.
Retelling the Biblical story of Joseph, his eleven brothers and the coat of many colours, this show marked the beginning of the legendary partnership between Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice, who went on to write Jesus Christ Superstar and Evita. Including hits such as Close Ev'ry Door to Me, One More Angel and the unforgettable Any Dream Will Do, Joseph has become one of the world's most successful musicals.
