"100 Years and Counting"
Event by Northampton Borough Council's Pensioners Forum and Northampton Pensioners Voice celebrating the International Day for Older People and the Centenary of the first state pension.
When: Thursday 25 September 10am until 2pm at Northampton Guildhall
- celebrate contributions that older people make to Northampton community life
- pensioners speed-dating with local organisations to find out about local services and opportunities
- find out more about the first 100years of the state pension
- find out about issues facing pensioners today and add your voice to the debate through graffiti style workshops
- share information about your hobbies with other pensioners
- find out more about getting involved in activities ranging from local history to allotments, computers, mobile phones, home security, funding, special transport schemes and volunteering.
Places are free and everyone is welcome!
