Disturbing Chain Email targetting children
I am writing to alert you about an extremely disturbing and frightening email that is being sent to children and young people. It is a chain email which contains very graphic details and threats about what will happen if the email is not forwarded on. It is titled "Mickey Mouse is Coming", but some children forwarding it on have changed the title to read 'Do Not Open', to protect their friends.
It goes on for several pages and is so explicit that some children have been very anxious and worried about it and too frightened to tell anyone.
Please can you make sure children and parents are aware of this so that they can delete the email without opening it if they receive it.
This information has been posted on to SIX, but we do feel it is of sufficient concern to draw it to your attention.
