Do you wish to be inspired about how to cook some new tasty dishes? Fancy watching a great range of talented chefs and specialists create some mouth watering menus? If the answer is yes, then there is a great show heading your way!
Set in a stunning, historic surrounding, a new and exciting food and drink experience is to be held at Sulgrave Manor at the end of June. The SULGRAVE FOOD SHOW sponsored by AGA, will be a fantastic mix of local, regional and other fine quality food and drink producers and suppliers, plus all things related, to create a tasty and exciting family day out on 28TH AND 29TH JUNE 2008.
‘Plans for the event are going very well with about 50 exhibitors set to take part’, explained Caroline Houghton of Stonehouse Events. ‘There will be such a huge variety of food and drinks at Sulgrave to suit all palates, plus family fun, music and live cooking demonstrations, all set in the wonderful grounds of this beautiful Manor’.
Visitors will also be able to watch live demonstrations from top local chefs, including Stephen Bulmer, who has recently opened the Brook Hall Cookery School, near Winslow having worked with Raymond Blanc at Le Manoir aux Quat’ Saisons for six years. Also appearing in the live line-up is the Aga Doctor, Richard Maggs, who had written many Aga publications and his demonstrations are always a huge hit! Other sessions include cooking with herbs from the garden, and healthy Thai Cookery along with Dawn Roads, Food Editor for Aga Magazine.
South Northants Council will also be at the Sulgrave Food Show promoting their ‘Love Food, Hate Waste!’ campaign…come and find out all about it! Plus local food and community groups will also be at the show to promote their individual projects and charities.
With a licensed bar set up on the front lawn of the Manor, run by local Hook Norton Brewery, Sulgrave Manor could be the ideal way to relax and soak up the weekend sun, and be surrounded by delicious sights and smells!
The event itself will be set in the beautiful garden and grounds of Sulgrave Manor, the ancestral home of George Washington, with the house itself also being open during the day for viewing. Located in the picturesque village of Sulgrave, just inside the Northamptonshire boundary, the Manor is perfectly located next to three other shires, Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Warwickshire. The Sulgrave Food Show will be an opportunity to find out what’s happening in the food world across all four!
