The Highways Agency is to continue pedestrian crossing improvements on the A5 in Potterspury, Northamptonshire. Work to construct a new footway on the southwest side of the A5 is due to start on Monday, 2 June and is expected to be complete on Friday, 13 June.
The new footway, between the High Street in Potterspury and the road to Puxley, will link an existing footway to a proposed crossing point where improved pedestrian crossing facilities will be provided as part of this work.
Work will be carried out between 9.30am - 3.30pm Mondays to Thursdays, and between 9.30am and 3pm on Fridays. There will be alternate lane closures in both directions and two-way temporary traffic signals will be in place for the duration of the scheme.
Highways Agency project manager Jamie Endersby said:
"This scheme will improve safety for road users and pedestrians. We are carrying out the work during off peak hours to limit any delays to road users."
