D J Hutchings Ltd was established in 1973 by the present owner, John Hutchings to provide construction, decoration and carpentry services to the building industry. Starting out as a sole trader John was soon employing tradesmen (some of whom are still with us today!) to assist him as the company continued to expand to its current turnover of £2million.

John still heads the business together with a dedicated management team that includes Peter Lindsley, Tom Hutchings and Annaleze Lund  who bring their own practical experience and expertise to the company.

The company originally specialised mainly in high class decorating and carpentry works but over the years has expanded into all areas of the building industry — most notably insurance repairs. We have adapted and grown to be able to provide a full one-stop service from drying out to full insurance reinstatement/restoration for both domestic and industrial clients.
