A special race day is being held at Towcester Race Course, Northamptonshire, on 30th April in support of the Royal Air Force. The event, sponsored by Prolinx, the IT solutions provider, and Lawney Hill Racing, will see seven thrilling races raise money for the RAF Benevolent Fund, the RAF’s leading welfare charity.

The RAF Benevolent Fund is there to support all members of the RAF family, from veterans to those serving today. Serving and former RAF personnel who have been helped by the charity will attend on the day to enjoy the day’s racing, alongside RAFBF supporters and Towcester’s devoted racing crowds.

A flying display at 12.15pm precedes a full day’s racing, and will include Ferocious Frankie, an immaculate 1944 Mustang, and an aerobatic display team.

Dean Benton, Director of Marketing and Communications for the RAF Benevolent Fund, said: “We are tremendously grateful to race sponsors Prolinx and Lawney Hill for their continuing and enthusiastic support through this Towcester Race Day. We simply could not provide the kind of welfare projects we do for the RAF without this kind of magnificent support.

“Towcester is a great place to celebrate the Royal Air Force, with busy stations like Benson, Brize Norton and Henlow all nearby, and we look forward to seeing some great racing on the day. Our thanks to everyone who has made this possible.”

Kevin Ackerman, General Manager of Towcester Race Course said: “We are delighted to welcome the RAFBF to Towcester Racecourse, and to support this very worthwhile charity with its superb work.”
