The Texaco Garage opening in Towcester, now CGR Car Sales - do you recognise anyone?

Tom Whittaker contacted AboutMyArea/NN12 through Twitter "Don't suppose you or any of your followers would know when this was taken?

Tom followed up with some additional information.

"The photo was found in an album that was unearthed when the garage site opposite the Police station was being cleared (formerly Silverstone Harley Davidson, Silverston Motorcycles, and now in 2012 CGR car sales).

"It’s one of 30 of so images that were taken to record the grand opening of the Texaco service station.
 
"I have digital copies of the other photos and a telegram that was sent by a Mr Russell Glass and Mike Madine to congratulate the staff on the event.
 
"I was just curious to know more about the images and the people in them.

"I thought it would be of local interest and that people might like to see them as I’m sure that some of the people or their families must still be in the area.

"Also given that the site has changed hands so many times (at least five in my memory) over the years I was amazed that the album had survived, its only a shame the other tenants hadn’t added there own entries to it!"
