Ian Mead Wins Again - A5 Rangers Time Trial

Ian Mead trialling for A5 Rangers Cycle Club
The recent 25 mile time trial run by the A5 Rangers Cycling Club resulted in a fine win for Ian Mead. His time of 1 hour 2 minutes and 43 seconds was nearly eight minutes faster than the runner-up Trevor Parrish. The riders enjoyed fine weather with the wind blowing from the east as opposed to the usual prevailing westerly wind.

The Club is running three ’ Come and try it ‘ five mile time trials in August. These events are open to all and are an ideal introduction to anyone wishing to emulate the racing achievements of the recent Tour de France winner Bradley Wiggins. Riders start at one minute intervals and ride solo.
The events are held on Wednesday evenings on the following dates: 15th, 22nd, 29th August and start near Silverstone. You can use both mountain bikes and road bikes as long as they are in safe working order. Juniors must wear a helmet.
