Elaine Evans enjoyed the Great North Run this weekend, so much so that she smiled all the way round. Elaine who completed this event to raise money and awareness for her chosen charity 4Theo, had every right to smile, especially when she finished with a PB!
Stephanie Spencer and Kit Rapson had a wonderful 50k wander along the Thames path this weekend, when they took part in the Thames Path Challenge. The duo had a wonderful time, and just like Elaine, every photo of them on route shows them smiling, including the ones afterwards with their medals.
Linda Lytollis and Justine Verwey took on the 35th Marshall Milton Keynes AC Tour of Milton Keynes and loved it. The event saw runners compete in six events held on consecutive days, covering various distances and terrains around Milton Keynes. After covering 27 miles over the six days, Linda and Justine concluded that it was a fantastic event and that they couldn’t wait to do it again next year!
Silson AC juniors, James Conquest, Olivia Winks and Amber Pacey pulled out the stops for Sunday’s junior parkrun at Buckingham. James (JM11-14) was the first runner home in a time of 7:52, Olivia (JW11-14) was the first lady home (16th overall) in a time of 9:33 and Amber (JW10) grabbed herself a shiny new PB, on only her 2nd junior parkrun, by finishing in 9:41!
