Having delivered a few projects locally since then, I am now looking to offer an Introductory course for adult learners in the village.
Writing to AboutMyArea/NN12 Tiffany Bromnell said, "I wonder if you could help me to promote a community course that I will be offering in Greens Norton, Towcester this Autumn please? I set up Archaeo-schools last year to provide projects aimed at engaging school children in their heritage and history through Archaeology.
"Having delivered a few projects locally since then, I am now looking to offer an Introductory course for adult learners in the village. This should be an exciting way of getting to grips with Greens Norton History, with visits from other professionals and culminating in a weekend excavation session in the village.
"Have you ever wondered what stories lay beneath your feet? Are you a fan of TV Archaeology and always wanted to try it for yourself?
Then this course is just for you! Aimed at anyone over the age of 16 years (no upper limit!) with a genuine interest in what archaeology is, how it works and why we do it.
"When: 11th September for 6 weeks 7.45 – 8.45pm at Greens Norton Community Centre, Meeting Room
"Live excavation weekend: 20th/21st October 2012. Cost: £60 per person plus £20 for the excavation weekend.
"The course is led by an experienced, qualified Archaeologist and tutor and in accordance with the IfA code of conduct for community archaeology.
