Sunday morning road congestion.Sunday morning road congestion.
The Tove Valley road through Abthorpe on Sunday morning had a much higher density of traffic than normal.
On National Cycle Route 50 between Wappenham and Syresham motorists picked their way through the many Sunday morning riders who usually have this route almost to themselves.
From the bridge over the A43 at Syresham the cause of our increased traffic became obvious. Towards Towcester the northbound carriageway was blocked solid as far as the eye could see in both directions with very slow moving traffic. The southbound carriageway was almost devoid of traffic.
Clearly there had been a major incident to cause such traffic chaos?
