Gail was born 14 September 1953 and is the daughter of Joan Bartlett and Eric Morecambe.
She grew up in Harpenden England and was a keen horse rider throughout her teens and part of her adult life.
Gail worked as a fully trained nursery nurse, school teacher and victim support assistant.
She is also a talented artist who also writes children's stories.
She has two children who are now adults called Adam and Amelia.
Watling Friends are a non-profit making group who meet every six months.
The aim has always been to book a good speaker that a small village group could not afford.
Meetings are open to all friends and family.
Each area takes it in turn to host an evening. There are no annual membership subscriptions to join the group.
There is a charge for the six monthly meetings that is used to cover the costs of the evening.
This would be the speaker, the venue, light refreshments, raffle and sundries.
