Have a blast and enjoy the great outdoors at more than 120 events and walks on a wide range of themes during the Peak District Walking & Outdoor Festival, from April 22 to May 6.
Showcasing the very best of the Peak District - with the UK's first National Park at its core - the Festival highlights the area's wealth of wonderful landscapes, from rare moorland habitats and scenic limestone dales to attractive towns and pretty villages.
Select a route to suit - from a leisurely stroll around town to a more challenging hike across open countryside - or opt for a specially-themed event to indulge your interest in subjects from history and heritage to wildlife.
Join special celebrations to mark both the 80th anniversary of the Kinder Scout Mass Trespass - catalyst for our ‘right to roam' Britain's countryside - and the 30th anniversary of the National Trust's acquisition of Kinder in 2012.
If you're spoilt for choice, book a short break or longer holiday - you'll find more than 700 accommodation options, from cosy pubs and campsites to comfortable hotels and B&Bs, on our website http://www.visitpeakdistrict.com/
BOOKING OPENS 3 January 2012
Contact details of each leader can be found at the beginning of the event listing in our printed programme or on http://www.visitpeakdistrict.com/
