This traditional village inn provides a warm friendly welcome for locals and visitors alike.

Proprietor Ivan Greensmith, who took over in February 2007, refurbished and extended the original kitchen and now provides a varied lunch and evening menu. Wherever possible produce is obtained from local suppliers. Menu details can be seen here.

Real ale fans are catered for with four different cask ales being on sale - and all are recognised as being of excellent quality.

A choice of reasonably priced wines is also available.

In summer the extensive gardens come into their own.

Regular evening features include:

•  the Sunday Fun Fortunes Quiz Night with the chance to win a £100 jackpot - starts at 9.00pm

•  the very popular free to enter Tuesday Brainteaser Quiz Night with sandwiches or chips - starts at 9.00pm

• Wednesday is Curry Night - curries from around the world available from 5.30pm to 9.00pm.  £6.95 for a curry and a drink.

• Sunday lunch served from 12.00 until 4.00pm. 

Throughout the year various charity events are held giving everyone the chance to have a great time while supporting a good cause.
