  April tips for the month


1. Sow tomato seeds in a warm place for growing in a greenhaouse or outside leter in the year.
2. Plant out early potatoes in late March, second earlies in early April and the main crop towards the end of April.
3. If moss is a problem, treat the lawn now with moss killer. Rake out the dead moss and fork over the whole area to improve drainage.
4. If black spot and mildew has been a problem with rose's and other plants start a spraying regime now to prevent it occurring this year.
5. Make sure all summer flowering bulbs are planted by the end of this month.
