Round Hill Primary School Charity Cycle Ride

Round Hill Primary School - Charity Cycle Ride
Beeston to Paris

On the 24th May 2008 a team of parents, teachers and friends will set of from Beeston heading for Paris in a bid to raise £15000 for Round Hill Primary School related projects.
Most of these brave volunteers have never attempted any form of long distance cycle ride. To get into shape and to get a feel for what may lie ahead they have been out riding early on Saturday mornings even during the coldest days of the winter.

The specific Round Hill projects include professional cycling safety training for Round Hill pupils and the purchase of a school minibus to take pupils on school organised activities. The purchase of the minibus will replace using up to 5 cars - a great way to help the environment.
The organisers also hope to develop an interest and enthusiasm in the whole Round Hill Primary School community for issues of sustainable transportation, safe cycling and healthy lifestyles.
A JUST GIVING link to enable family, friends and acquaintances to donate to the challenge online has been set up. There is a link to JUST GIVING from the homepage of www.r4rh.org, a website explaining more about the Round Hill Primary School Charity Cycle Ride.
We will keep you up to date with preparations and report back on how it all went.
If you want to get involved in anyway please contact Zoe Fletcher at Round Hill Primary School.
Or if you want to make a contribution visit www.r4rth.org and click on the JUST GIVING link.
The pupils are also getting involved and need your support. On the 12th April 2008 at midday the pupils will be attempting to cycle to Paris - well they will cover the equivalent distance by cycling on a 1km course set up around the school playing field. For further details visit www.r4rth.org
