Since my last article, there has been an update to the resources available at the Family History Research Centre of The Hampshire Genealogical Society.

The Hampshire Genealogical Society
The Hampshire Genealogical Society was founded in 1973 with the aim of encouraging family history research. The HGS is affiliated to the Federation of Family History Societies and has nearly 4,000 members worldwide. A quarterly journal, The Hampshire Family Historian, is published by the Society in June, September, December and March, which all members receive.
In September 2011 HGS office relocated to premises in Cosham. The Research centre room was made available to the public in October 2011.
The research centre is open on Tuesdays and Thursdays: 09:30 - 12:30 and 13:30 - 16:30 Please call first to make an appointment 023 92 7000
