On behalf of Selworthy Parish Hall I would like to thank all those who took the time and trouble to vote for us in the recent Peoples Millions, however you will all know by now we did not win. What I can tell you is we pulled in 2250 votes against Minety of 2849.
I would also like to thank the following people who helped us through our campaign. All the presenters at quay west, Clara and Mike Lawrie of www.aboutmyarea.co.uk/ta24 who not only supported us but produced leaflets, Friday Print who donated posters for us, all the local news papers who gave so much coverage for us, finally to all the committee members who worked so hard through out the campaign.

At a meeting last night (the 22nd November) the committee decided to keep the hall open until at least the AGM which will be in April. I have stood down as chairman and Jonathan Grant vice chairman will take over as chairman until the AGM.I felt I had done as much as I could and it was time for a new face, other committee members have resigned so there will only be a caretaker committee. The hall will be taking bookings on the following number 01643 862410.

Finally I must stress that the future of the hall solely depends on support from the local community; if you don’t use you will loose it.
