The Marine Conservation Society (MCS) has launched a new website with state-of-the-art features interactive games and fun activities, beautiful images and plenty of information about UK marine wildlife. All presented in an entertaining way to appeal to a younger audience.
Would you like to know which UK sea creatures are ‘driller killers', and which force their stomachs out through their mouths to digest their prey? (Answers on Cool Creatures page 4: Meal Times.)
Designed primarily for school pupils and teachers to raise awareness of just how "cool" life in our cool UK seas is, the Cool Seas website will appeal to a much wider audience too, and of any age. Through this new website we learn the importance of our marine wildlife, its conservation, and the small steps we can all take to make a positive difference to our blue planet.
Angus Bloomfield, from the Marine Conservation Society, said "Children and adults alike are amazed and delighted to see the wonderful wildlife we have in our UK seas, and we hope ‘Cool Seas' will be just the starting point on their voyage of discovery. The launch of our new Cool Seas website completes our comprehensive range of educational resources, and we hope they will be widely used."
