Calling All Retired Police Officers, Police Civilians, Widows or Widowers
| Published: 2nd May 2012 00:03 |
Remember blue lamps and two tone sirens? Talking like "Z Cars" and "Dixon Of Dock Green" and "The Bill", with knowledge of how it really was?
PC Mark CURRAN, the "town bobby" for Minehead, is organising a luncheon for people retired from the Police service. If you were an Officer, a civilian or if you were married to someone from a Police force, then you can come along.
The luncheon is being held at The Wheelhouse Restaurant, The Avenue, Minehead on Tuesday 22nd May. It commences at 11.30 to allow plenty of time to chat. The cost is £15.00 for two courses and Mark will need to have definite bookings in advance to assist the restaurant.
"This will be the fifth such lunch and we have had retired Officers from all sorts of Forces and even one couple who come all the way from France. It is just an opportunity for people who have been in "the job", to have a bit of a chin wag with some old colleagues and to meet some new friends. Anyone with links to the Police is welcome, including serving Officers and staff."
To find out more contact Mark on either 07766474710 or by emailing him at mark.curran@avonandsomerset.pnn.police.uk .
