Royal Guest to Visit 2007 European Outdoor Championships

News from the Tug of War Association

Princess Royal

The Tug of War Association are pleased to announce that Her Royal Highness, Princess Royal, Princess Anne will be attending the European Outdoor Championships in Minehead.

The princess will meet representatives from the Tug of War International Federation (TWIF) and the Tug of War Association, as well as meeting members of West Somerset District Council, Minehead Town Council and some members of the England Squad. This visit will take place on Friday 21st September.

The Princess carries out a very wide range of official duties and visits in the United Kingdom in support of regional authorities and local institutions.

The Princess Royal is also a British representative in the International Olympic Committee (IOC) She took part in London's successful bid to host the 2012 Olympic Games, and is now a member of the London Organising Committee for the Olympic Games.
