If you would like to get involved, learn new skills, meet new people or just to put something back into Exmoor, the Exmoor Conservation volunteers will be holding an open day on Monday 25 August and anyone who would like to come along and see what happens can book to meet the minibus:
- outside Minehead library at 09:45
- or Dulverton National Park Centre at 10:30.
The day will involve working with Exmoor National Park Rangers to complete various practical tasks around the Dulverton area.
Under 18's must be accompanied.
Booking essential for transport via 01398 323665 or volunteers@exmoor-nationalpark.gov.uk or 07973 727 469.
Participants should bring lunch, old clothes and waterproofs/sun cream (you can never tell on Exmoor).
Volunteers meet every Monday as well as other days as required as Patrick Watts-Mabbott, volunteers co-ordinator with the National Park Authority explains: "Some people come out two days a week others two days a year and we are very grateful for whatever time they can spare."
