Fire Service training exercise
The local RoadPeace Group have organised a service on Sunday 20th November at 2.30pm at St Andrews Church, Ashburton Devon TQ13 7DT.
The act of remembrance will include the reading of names and the lighting of candles. The work of the emergency services will also be recognised. This will be followed by refreshments and the chance to talk to others who have been bereaved, injured, or affected by a road crash. Everyone is welcome.
RoadPeace operates a dedicated helpline providing emotional and practical support and advocacy. The charity also campaigns for road safety; works to reduce unnecessary road deaths, injuries and suffering; and seeks to improve the service the bereaved and injured receive.
Road deaths are not normal deaths. They are sudden, violent and unnatural and families rarely have a chance to say goodbye. RoadPeace understands the importance of remembering family and friends who have died.
