Police and housing associations in Minehead have organised a free community day.
The free day will be open to all residents of Seaward Way and The Shires in Minehead and will take place on Friday 31 August in Plover Close between 4-7pm.
Police will be joined by members of Magna West Somerset and Knightstone Housing Associations.
PCSO Luisa Skinner for Alcombe East explained: "We are having a great deal of volunteer help from Seaward Way Community Group, who have organised a bouncy castle and play horse for the children of the area, as well as a dressing-up competition and fun races.
"While the children are playing there is a serious side to the day for the adults! PC Steve Cutler, the Neighbourhood Beat Manager for the area, myself and PCSO Rachel Cutler, members of Magna West Somerset, Knightstone Housing Association, Town and District Councillors will all be present on the day, giving a real opportunity for local residents to have their say in the future of their area.
"The Community Group will be distributing flyers to all households in the area this week, together with a survey compiled by Minehead police and the Housing Associations.
"We would like to strongly encourage householders to complete this survey on facilities in their area, perception of anti-social behaviour in the area and use of the multi-sports games area in Sandpiper Close; all issues which should be close to their hearts, and which should prompt a health amount of feedback.
"These surveys can be returned on the day, or to Magna, Knightstone, or Minehead Police Station, to be received by the end of August. All replies shall be anonymous, unless residents wish otherwise."
