The 17th dedicated day of action under the banner of Operation Relentless saw 182 people who had failed to attend court or who were wanted on warrant, arrested.
From the early hours of the morning, officers swooped on addresses throughout the force area.
There were arrests for a wide variety of offences, including breach of bail/fail to attend at court, assault, drug related offences and a number of others.
In Shirehampton in Bristol a cannabis factory was discovered by officers executing a warrant.
In Cadbury Heath officers arrested two people and during a search of premises found machinery which could be used to produce fake DVD films.
And although the day of action itself is over, the force's Relentless efforts to catch people who have been evading the criminal justice system continues.
Assistant Chief Constable Steve Mortimore said: "the day of action was extremely successful.
"But inevitably with a day like this, there are some people we have tried to arrest who, for a variety of reasons, we were not able to.
"On the force website tomorrow we will be publishing the photos of a number of people who we are actively seeking.
"I would appeal to anyone to help provide the police with thousands of extra eyes and ears; please look at those photographs.
"If you know who those people are please contact police."
