The VOICES OF EXMOOR choir will be bringing special Christmas cheer to Dulverton next week, on Friday, December 16th and Saturday, December 17th in Dulverton Town Hall at 7.30pm.
The choir, under the musical directorship of April Golding, boasts over 40 members, with a strong group of tenors and basses who will be adding extra entertainment on the night. The concert is a seasonal mix of old and new carols and Christmas songs and the audience will be able to enjoy the usual happy informal atmosphere created by April and the choir members.
The choir's chosen charities for this year have been local groups and the choir hopes to welcome full houses to boost the funds which will be given to Dulverton Congregational Church, where the choir rehearses each week - the church has been undertaking some major renovations .
The other local charities to benefit from the choir's fund raising are Dulverton and District Young People's Project which provides four weekly sessions for young people at Riverside Youth Club and the Calvert Trust Exmoor which provides outdoor activities for people with physical, sensory and learning difficulties.
Tickets are £5, and are available from The Tantivy, Dulverton or contact Jan Ross, 01398 323818, janaross2003@yahoo.co.uk . Tickets may be available on the door.
