Shelter at vivary park
Delight in the park furnished with elegant entrance gates, bandstand and ornate fountain dating back to 1907 as a memorial to Queen Victoria. The park plays host to events such as the Taunton Flower Show, Pop and Proms Concerts and the Moscow State Circus. On summer Sundays from May to August the park plays host to weekly free local band concerts at 3pm at the bandstand.
Vivary Park provides a range of amenities for people to enjoy. There are outdoor Vivary Tennis is situated at the rear of Vivary Park are two hard surface tennis courts close to model train track and young children play area (age up to 5 yrs).
Taunton Bowling Club is situated in the middle of the beautiful Vivary Park. The Club invites new and experienced bowlers of all ages to enjoy the facilities and you don't have to be a member because it is open to the public and holiday makers alike.
Outdoor Green
Outdoor there is an excellent 6 rink green with beautiful views looking over Vivary Park. The Club has a busy programme of matches, competitions, tournaments and Club occasions.
Indoor Rinks
The Club has 3 indoor rinks with a green-gauge carpet and is open from 8.00am to 10.30pm everyday.
The Bowling Club also has a broad mixture of play - summer and winter leagues throughout the day; casual play; interclub matches all year round; club competitions; and hosts a number of private functions, corporate evenings as well as county and national competitions.

Housed adjacent to Vivary Park is Vivary Golf Club where all golfers, amateur or not, are invited to challenge the well designed and maintained 75 year old course. It is an 18 hole, 4620 yards, par 63 golf course on open parkland with far reaching views. Open to the public every day, both regular players and visitors are welcome to play.
Vivary Park is the place to be every August each year with live outdoor concerts and the Proms in the Park has something to offer all the family, with timeless theatre, patriotic proms, opera, classic cinema and fantastic fireworks.
