Cider Mills Museum

Set in the picturesque Somerset village of Dowlish Wake, the cider mills and visitor centre still occupies the original family farm. Visitors can sample the atmosphere of old West Country life and the traditions of their working cider farm.
Established in 1923 the Perry family continue the tradition of growing and pressings all their ciders on the original farm, partly to conserve the traditional craft of cider making, but also to take advantage of the mild climate, rich soils, and aspect of the area which lend themselves to the production of high quality apples and ciders alike.
In 2003 and again in 2005 Perry's Cider won the prestigious Worshipful Company of Fruiterers Supreme Champion Cider award at the Royal Bath & West show beating some 200 other entrants from across the UK and Europe.
Apple juice, country wines, Somerset Cider Brandy, jams, pickles, biscuits, fudge, etc are available from their Perrys Cider shop. Also a large range of interesting and unusual gifts.
Visitors are welcome to amble leisurely around their large collection of cider making and farming equipment of yesteryear. Their twin cider presses housed in the 16th Century thatched cider barn are on view all year round. Visitors are also welcome to sample all of their ciders FREE in their cider and farm shop.
