NEW BEGINNINGS CARNIVAL CLUB
New Beginnings Carnival Club was formed in 2005 by Gary and Louise Richards.
It started as part of a joke about starting a new carnival club one night and from that night they thought about it more and more and wanted to go ahead with it. Eventually they got the club up and running and they had a club of around 20 members.
Sadly after the 2005 season was over both Gary and Louise both left the club and moved on. New Beginnings first cart was THE ADVENTURE PAN, which was in the tableau class and was designed by Garry Richards the club picked up mainly thirds during the 2005 season and one second at chard.
In the 2006 season the club got a bit bigger only being it's second year in carnival it had around 30 full members that put a lot of hard work in to the entry STARLIGHT EXPRESS which was again in the tableau class and was designed by Matthew Rowswell.
. The club picked up there best results so far with two 1st at Wellington and Ilminster and best costumes around the south Somerset circuit. We are lucky because all the club members we have are 100% committed to having a lot of fun at fundraising and cart construction and at the end of the day that's what carnival is all about.
