Cycle ride for Hop Skip and Jump

A PC from Avon and Somerset Constabulary is cycling to every police station across the force area to raise money for charity - just two days before he takes part in the Bristol Half Marathon.
PC Matthew McQuaid, who is based at Staple Hill Police Station, will start out on Monday September 8 from Minehead police station, and cycle to all 39 stations over the following five days, covering 365 miles.
Matthew is raising money for 'Hop Skip and Jump', a respite and play centre for children with special needs in Kingswood.
PC McQuaid said: "After six month's of training, I am really looking forward to my journey. Before I started my training I was really only a casual cyclist, but I wanted to push myself and do something good for the community at the same time.
"I am pleased to be able to raise money for such a good cause. The Hop Skip and Jump centre provides a safe haven for children, where they can happily play and have fun, giving parents some much needed respite and support."
