Not In My Neighbourhood Week
Neighbourhood teams across Avon and Somerset Constabulary will be joining forces with their partners this week as part of a national campaign promoting community action against crime and anti-social behaviour.
"Not In My Neighbourhood Week", which runs from 13-17 October aims to highlight what is being done locally, day in, day out, to tackle crime and anti-social behaviour.
Resident organisations, neighbourhood policing teams, local authorities, Crime & Disorder Reduction Partnerships (CDRPs), Neighbourhood Watch schemes, anti-social behaviour teams and drug and alcohol action teams from across the force are leading the efforts to inform local people of what is being done in their area to tackle crime issues and discuss where work should be prioritised in the future to make communities safer.
Assistant Chief Constable Rod Hansen said: "Our neighbourhood teams are relentlessly listening to local communities and working with them to help improve the quality of life for residents across the force.
"This week helps to highlight the good work and progress that is being done in every policing district all year round by the partner agencies in Avon and Somerset to help reduce crime and anti-social behaviour."
