Taunton will soon be on view for the whole world to see when photos from Google's Street View car are used to give visitors a virtual tour of the area.
The Google street view car was spotted by AboutMyArea site editor Karen Lang, at the back of her cul-de-sac home, she had the chance to ask the driver to wait while she got her camera to take a close up of the car. Luckily he had to stop behind her AboutMyArea car to reverse out, this was just the right time and moment whilst she was out by the gate at the time before he sped off!
The car was also spotted around the Holway and Blackbrook area and toward Killams today (29 May 2009)

Google Street View, which was introduced in Britain on March 19 2008, gives 360-degree views of the biggest cities, allowing people to take virtual tours from their computers or mobile phones. The company's camera-equipped cars, which take the photographs for Street View, aim to cover as much of Britain as possible.
Taunton street view will not be live on Google until approx six months time.
