Come and support your Holway local action team, to their first fete

Residents in the Holway area of Taunton are being urged to come out and support a community event being held on Saturday, July 12.
The YMCA Centre on Lisieux Way will be hosting the Holway Local Action Team Fete on Saturday from 2pm when the event will be opened by the mayor of Taunton, Cllr Tim Slattery.
The fete will have around 20 stalls with a bouncy castle, fun and games and also the chance to sponge a local Police Community Support Officer who will be putting themselves in a set of stocks.
Money raised from the day will go to the Holway LAT, as well as raising awareness of the group among the local community - with the hope local people will become more involved.
Taunton East Safer, Stronger Neighbourhood Beat Manager PC Mark Loker said: "It is the first fete the LAT has organised and we are hoping for a good turnout and support from the community of Holway.
"Events like this are not only about raising money, but also showing people how they can get involved with working with police, the local authority and other agencies to make the area where they live safer.
"Those people already in the LAT are working hard to make it successful, hopefully events like this will see more people come on board."
