Patient moved to infectious RUH ward (Main Headline)
Continuing from the story a couple of weeks ago when a woman died from a bug picked up in the hospital, here we have another case where Carol Chiswell aged 63 was moved from one ward to another which had recently had a bout of a virulent vomit-inducing virus.
Lack of footpath lottery money (Page 2)

Child database details revealed (Page 4)
Apparently all the children in Somerset are to be entered onto a database, which over 300, 000 people will have access to. The company is ContactPoint and it’s an attempt to improve protection, which rather unsurprisingly is generally thought to be mis-conceived. Those who will have access to the information are social workers, teachers and other professionals. Access will only be granted after individuals have passed a security check with criminal records.

Yep, it’s the headline of the day …. Two of the swans decided to go walk abouts going through the Bishop’s Eye into the market place and proceeded to do a mini tour including the Crown Hotel car park and the photo booth inside the Post Office, much to the amusement of onlookers. They were eventually guided back to the moat …aah!
