Driving rain and blowing a gale, but it didn't put off the locals one little bit!
In fact, I think the weather was so awful that people couldn't stand being trapped inside their homes and were determined to fight their way to this Chistmas market come hell or high water!
My thanks to the organisers for allowing me to spread the word of 'AboutMyArea' by handing out leaflets to people as they braved their way back out of the village hall.
Santa was there, much to the delight of the youngsters who attended and there was a 14 prize raffle at the end.
Judging by the lack of stuff for sale towards the end, I'd say this was another highly successful event, which should see the Alzheimers Society benefit once more.
I just hope that the same dogged determination that people showed by turning up today, will be repeated for the Reindeer Parade tomorrow, which starts near the Sherston Inn at midday ... the forecast is not good i'm afraid!
