Running a site like this is potentially an enormous task to do single handedly!
In fact, I'd go so far to say that it is impossible to bring you all the latest news, sport, entertainment etc... but with a little bit of help from people who are generally into 'scenes' such as music, we could really make this site the resource centre for the whole area!
AboutMyArea is on the verge of releasing several enhancements, both functional and visual. It will be possible to approve sub-editors for the system. This would involve an overview and training from me to allow people to submit their own articles, through a new category that will appear along the top navigation bar called 'my zone'.
Any articles submitted will simply require me to press a button to confirm that they are acceptable.
If you think that you would like to be a sub editor, I would be very interested to hear from you. Of particular interest would be people from some of the villages in the BA5 region ... Priddy, Dulcote, Dinder, Westbury sub Mendip, Coxley or Croscombe (sorry if I've left any out!). Until now, these villages have been represented in name but little else (except perhaps Croscombe) - this would be the ideal opportunity to enlist a local villager to expand the community information as a whole - it's all too Wells biased at the moment.
