Extended opening hours for Grant Thorold library

Grant Thorold Library is now opening late for evenings a week, and also on Sunday mornings, so if you live nearby there's much more opportunity to pop in and collect a book or a DVD for the children.

One of the key points raised by consultation with customers last year  was a wish for longer opening hours, with 46% of respondents saying they would like the library to be open on Sundays.  So that's what we've arranged!  Where else can you spend three happy hours with the family on a Sunday morning and not spend a penny? - although if you need to do that, we do have a public toilet there too!

From 1^st July the new hours will be

Monday                      10 - 7

Tuesday                     10 - 7

Wednesday               10 - 7

Thursday                    10 - 7

Friday                         10 - 5.30

Saturday                     10 - 1

Sunday                       10 - 1

Pleased to hear about the additional opening times - makes it easier to work around work, etc. Keep up the good work on the site incidentally! Several of my friends visit it often - all handy up-to-date news for the community..
