FREE WORKSHOP GIVES COURAGE TO SING

The workshop, entitled Courage to Sing, will take place on Thursday 5 July and is open to all. Organised as part of Sing London's week-long celebration of song, running from 29 June to 8 July, the event is aimed at absolute beginners, regardless of experience. No one will be asked to sing alone and nervous and tuneless singers alike will be welcome.

The workshop will be led by local community musician and winner of the ISME Gibson Community Music Education Award, Catherine Pestano. Catherine will focus on simple harmony songs and rounds, guaranteed to lift the spirits after a hard day's work.

Councillor Steve Hollands, cabinet member for culture and sport said: "This event is open to all and is the perfect opportunity for those who would like a free taster lesson in singing to give it a try."
