BEFORE throwing away that old pair of shoes or indeed getting rid of that saggy jumper, think where it could go.
Quality clothing can be taken to your local charity shop to be re-sold, there are plenty of great charity shops in and around Croydon....see listings in the local directory. Fabrics that are worn out can be recycled in textile recycling banks, at present the UK's clothing banks that recycle texties are operating at only 25% capacity.
