Professor John Lennox from Oxford University is to take questions from the public in Tooting as part of A Passion for Life.
Lennox (pictured above) is Professor of Mathematics and Fellow in the Philosophy of Science at Oxford University and has debated the topic of Science and Religion with some of the world"s leading atheists such a Richard Dawkins.
He will be speaking at an event organised by seven local churches and St George's Christian Union as part of A Passion for Life - a national church-based initiative to 'connect' people with the message of Easter.
Professor Lennox, who is author of "God"s Undertaker: Has Science Buried God?" will be speaking on "Has Science Buried God?"
Peter Bines, one of the organisers of the event, said, ‘People often find scientific theory difficult to reconcile with a belief in God and Easter. We are delighted to have someone of Professor Lennox's calibre to speak at Tooting. It should be a great chance for people to put their questions to him.'
The talk by Professor Lennox is open to the general public and will be followed by a time of questions. The evening will take place on Thursday 18th March at 8pm at Monckton Lecture Theatre, St George"s Hospital Medical School, and is free of charge.
