Dearne Valley Venture
On Mondays Age Fitness, a gentle exercise class is held between 1:45pm & 2:45pm and the Sewing group meet 9am -11am and 7pm -9pm. Tuesdays programme includes the History Group and the Craft group which meet between 10am -12pm, Pilates between 1:45pm and 2:45pm and the Theatre group for children runs from 5pm-8pm with 6pm-8pm for 11 years and over. The Walking club meet every Wednesday at 10am and enjoy various local walks and the ‘Build your Own Computor sessions are held both mornings and afternoons for anyone who has an interest in the inside workings of a computor or wants tips on how to mend them. The Art Class is held on a Friday between 10am - 12pm All welcome. The regular after school club runs from 3:30pm every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday through term time. Computors are available everyday from 9am til 3pm for anyone wanting to use them for word processing or internet access and help is usually on hand. Ideal if you want to job search, create a CV or letter or just want to surf the net.
St Andrews Parish Church
Father D Stafford is doing a sponsored parachute jump from 1,400 ft in aid of Bluebell Wood Childrens Hospice. The jump will take place on Wednesday July 2. Please show your support. St Andrews Square Community Centre
On Monday the Clayton School of Dance are in the hall from 4 -7 pm and Taekwondo is from 7.15 - 8.15pm. On Tuesday there is Bingo between 7.30 and 9.30pm. On Wednesday Yoga is held between 7.30 and 9pm and Clayton School of Dance hold classes between 7.15 and 8.45pm. On Thursdays Rainbow, a mother and toddler group is held between 9 - 11am with a charge of £1 then the Caterpillar Club 1-3pm. There is also Line Dancing between 7.30 and 9.30pm. On Friday a luncheon club is between 12 and 1.30pm held for people over 50 who enjoy home cooked food. The Clayton School of Dance hold classes again between 4 and 9pm. On Saturday morning the dance school classes run from 9.30 - 12pm and then in the evening there is the Dance Club between 7.30 and 9pm. The hall is also available for hire for parties and functions.
St Andrews Parish Church
Everyone is invited to All Age Worship at St Andrews Parish Church on the second Sunday of each month at 11am. Next one Sunday July 12.
Furlong Road Methodist Church
Sequence and Line Dancing are held every other Monday in the church hall. The next one is June 30 between 4-6pm. The Ladies Club meets every other Tuesday at 7.15pm (next one July 8) and is an opportunity to hear guest speakers, members own show and tell stories or just catch up with friends. Knit and Natter is held on every other Wednesday at 1.45pm (next one July 9) and the Christian Fellowship meet at 7pm on a Thursday evening.
