Burncross Community Centre Litter Pick
Burncross Action Team (BAT) carriied out a litter pick around the Burncross Community Centre & the surrounding field & paths on Sunday 20th May and I was privileged to join them. fortunately the weather stayed fine, if a little hot.
The biggest problem was a large pile of trees had been dumped at the end of the car park and cutting them up to take away used up a large proportion of the time & filled a truck we used to take it away.
Clearing around the car park, field & community centre walls resulted in another load piled high on the truck taken away for Street Force to collect.
We would still advocate taking care around the building because of a lot of small pieces of broken glass lying around which were impossible to pick up.
Street Force will now be able to cut the area of grass where the trees had been to further improve the site.
