Windmill Hill Primary School - Sensory garden

Project initially carried out by John Lewis Partnership, team leader was Richard Venners. The team were great and spent the week working really hard and time prior to this fundraising. The children also held a raffle to raise extra funding for the project. The school was initially put in contact with John Lewis through Michelle Tilney from Business in the Community (BITC) who was very helpful.
The children throughout school helped to plant up the garden

More recently the children and some parents and teachers have tended to the garden with some vegetables being used in school dinners - we are looking into this continuing next year with a gardening club.

Many thanks to Burncross nurseries who have been fabulous in their donations - please support this business in your local community!!
Many thanks to Howard House and Joanathan Jones of Burncross Action Team (BAT) for helping out, also to Parish Council leader, Denise Fearnley for giving her support.

It is an ongoing project for both the school & BAT, so why not come along & give us a hand, either contact the school or Burncross Action Team.
