ST GILES HOSPICE SHOPS HAVE THE SHOWHOME TOUCH
| Published: 16th June 2007 11:03 |
Customers at St Giles Hospice Shops can now choose from a range of stylish former showhome furniture, thanks to a bumper donation from housebuilder Crest Nicholson.

Coffee tables, wardrobes, dining tables and chairs, and a selection of office furniture - as seen in the beautiful showhomes at Crest Nicholson developments across the area - are now being sold by the hospice, which cares for people living with cancer and other serious illnesses.
St Giles has fourteen charity shops selling a wide range of products including items for the home, clothes, books, CDs, videos and DVDs.
By donating unwanted items, local businesses can help fund the high-quality care the charity provides.
Liz Herring, Sales and Marketing Director for Crest Nicholson comments: "St Giles Hospice is a very worthwhile cause which we have had the pleasure of supporting in a number of different ways over the years.
"Our showhome furniture is specially selected by our team of interior designers and represents the cutting edge of home style.
"Now that we are making over our new showhomes it would seem a great shame to see this furniture go to waste. By donating items to St Giles hospice shops, companies such as ours can help to make a real difference to local people's lives."
Lynwen Truesdale, General Manager of St Giles Hospice Shops, adds: "We are extremely grateful to Crest Nicholson for such a wonderful donation. All the proceeds from the sales of this furniture will go towards helping our patients, and we always encourage good quality donations from companies working locally."
The furniture will be sold at affordable prices at two of St Giles Hospice's charity shops - at 2 Wolverhampton Road in Cannock, and 406 Birmingham Road in Wylde Green, in addition to the charity's warehouse at the Birchbrook Industrial Park in Shenstone.
Donations of furniture can be made at the warehouse on any weekday morning. Alternatively, smaller household items, books, CDs, DVDs and clothing can be taken to any of the hospice shops across the region, the details of which are as follows:

St Giles Hospice shops play a vital role in funding the care offered by the hospice, a registered charity with facilities in Sutton Coldfield and Whittington, between Lichfield and Tamworth.
The fourteen shops are located in major towns throughout the hospice's patient catchment area, from Ashby de la Zouch and Atherstone in the east, to Cannock and Walsall in the west - and from Burton and Uttoxeter in the north, to Sutton Coldfield and Coleshill in the south.
St Giles spends over £5million every year providing its specialist services. With just a third of this funded by the Government, the registered charity relies heavily on donations and fundraising.
